High cloud formed during strong westerly winds reflects the sunset at Cape Palliser on the southern tip of the North Island.
Photographer Phil Nixey spent his early career underwater filming. His love of photography and landscapes was reawakened while he was on location in remote southern New Zealand. He now spends his spare time chasing the ephemeral light at dawn and dusk and experimenting with long exposure times and blending multiple exposures to capture the magic of land, sea and sky.
